Going foward and stepping back.
As thrilled as I am to have Obama as our new president, and as proud as I am to be an American right now, I can't help but also be disappointed by the results of several local ballots currently via CNN.com It looks like not only has Prop 8 passed, Arizona and Florida have banned gay marriages, and Arkansas has limited fostering and adopting children to married (straight) couples. Help! My mouth is trying to kill me!
Just a few days after my birthday and I'm suffering in mostly silence, or using incoherent babbles and gestures. I had my wisdom teeth out this morning, all four! I can't say I'm terribly pleased about it at this very moment, but hey they gave me vicoden to take the pain far, far away. Now I'm just trying to stem the bleeding without triggering my gag reflex with wads of little bandage thingies. I have such a ridiculously teeny mouth that he really had to beat the shit out of me to get those teeth out. Man, I hurt so bad. SWF
Well, I went to SeaWorld yesterday, and will go again with my mom either tomorrow or Monday. For those of who are curious, Taima is still pregnant. Kayla is not doing waterwork yet. The calf is named Nalani. They plan to start shamu night shows again in the spring. Moved in!
Well I'm all moved in. I'm nervous, my roommates should be showing up tomorrow. I'm staying at the hotel tonight with my dad for company, and because I can't get internet in my dorm yet. Day After Birthday Update
Well, I'm 21 now. And I still haven't gotten drunk, but I have legally consumed alchohol. A vodka and orange juice and some 50 year old Remy Martin. Joanna and Amanda were here and are gone, and I miss having them around, both are great company and wonderful friends. I have a laptop now, and a brand new camera. I had gotten a little point and shoot, but honestly was a little dissapointed. So we upgraded. I now have a Leica V-Lux 1. I'm really pleased with it and excited to try it out at the Georgia Aquarium and SeaWorld. Other than that I'm beside myself, I'm depressed as all heck because I have to leave my cats at home. I don't know how I'll sleep without Voltaire to cuddle up to and Jack to keep my feet warm. Les Mis and party
Well, today is going to be crazy! I'm going to a showing of Les Mis at 3:00 and then to mingle with the "we're filthy stinkin rich" side of my family at 6. Yes, Les Mis is a 3 hour play. No I don't know we're going to get from the city to the dinner party in 3 seconds. I think the blue finger splint is the high point of my outfit. My fingernail is black from where I broke my phalanx bone by slamming it in the car door. I'm really nervous, I hate getting all dressed up, and I feel really fat in my dress. Squee! Jason Momoa!
I was at the NJ convention today when Jason Momoa mentioned how he used to have a wolf tooth that he wore all the time,but broke, and if someone could find him another he'd wear it on the show. Well, I'm looking at the banner where Jason happens to have the tooth on, and I think 'You know, that looks just like those whale teeth I bought it St. Vincent. Do I still have those in my purse?' Well, It turns out I did have them with me. So I raised my hand and said "Umm I have something similar." After a little debate about whether he could actually take it from me, which I won, I went up and gave him one of my whale tooth necklaces. He liked it alot, said it was even better than the old one and gave me a kiss on the cheek. It took a little doing but he got it on over the dreadlocks. It looks great on him.
